[01] How it works

Fire a request. Catch the signal.

Every run is asynchronous. You get a run id back at once and the results arrive when the extractor finishes, signed so you know they came from us.

    Call an extractor

    POST /api/v1/runs/{extractor} with a JSON input. The response is 202 with the run id, status queued.

  2. 02

    The run executes

    It reads the public data and returns it in that extractor's fixed result shape.

  3. 03

    Webhook, or poll

    A signed POST to your webhook_url. Or GET /api/v1/runs/{id}/results for JSONL.

Check the signature against your webhook secret, then trust the payload. If your endpoint is down we retry with backoff and email you if it never answers.

What developers ask first.

What do the free credits cover?
500 credits every rolling month, once you add a card. Adding the card is a check, not a charge. Free credits are used first and stack on any paid plan.
How are credits counted?
Each result costs the extractor's credits per result. A run that finds nothing costs nothing. Free credits go first, then your plan allowance.
What happens when I run out?
Overage is off by default, so runs stop. You can turn it on with a monthly spend limit, or leave it unlimited. Overage is billed per 1,000 credits at your plan's rate.
Where does the data come from?
Public pages and public platform APIs. Some extractors can use a session you supply for your own account. We never sell the data you collect.
How long are results kept?
Results stay readable at GET /api/v1/runs/{id}/results with your key. A results_url in a webhook is signed and expires 7 days after the run finishes.
How do I verify a webhook?
Each delivery has an X-Threadline-Signature: t=…,v1=… header. Compute HMAC-SHA256 of t.body with your webhook secret and compare it to v1. Failed deliveries are retried up to 6 times over about 2.5 hours, then we email you.
